The yellow diamond is held by three 18kt yellow gold prongs set above a beautifully hand engraved band. The shoulders of the ring slightly narrow as they gently sweep upward, creating a cathedral-like setting as the band rises up to meet the diamond. The top and sides of the band, as well as the platinum setting, are meticulously hand-engraved with a dramatic chevron pattern. In the gallery we call this style of engraving "Woodstock's feet," because the pattern reminds us of the tracks left in the snow by Snoopy's friend. For an additional touch of elegance, the edges of the ring are finely milgrained with a bead-like pattern.
 Viewing the ring from the side, you can see the symmetry of the design and the care with which the ring was created. Note the thickness of the band throughout its circumference and the depth and crispness of the hand-engraving. All signs of a master craftsman who took great care and pride in his work. |

 In fact, creating this ring involved four different craftsmen - a master platinum smith, an expert hand engraver, a gem setter and a milgrainer. Each is an expert in his specialty. Employing four artisans to create one ring may seem excessive, but the results justify the effort. Our philosophy, whether we are seeking a beautiful gemstone or custom creating a jewel, is to always go with "the Best of the Best". When creating a ring meant to last a lifetime, the best craftsman should be used for each step in the jewel's creation.
 You should always closely examine the underside of a jewel. A truly fine jewel will show beauty and craftsmanship in all directions. As with all Bijoux jewels, the inside of this ring is finished as nicely as the top with beautifully polished surfaces and symmetrical, clean edges. Note how the 18kt gold prongs seamlessly merge with the sturdy platinum setting that securely holds the diamond. Fine craftsmanship is in the small details.
