Edwardian Fox and Riding Crop Pin

An Edwardian bar pin featuring a riding crop and a fox with fiery red ruby eyes.  The pin was beautifully crafted in 15kt gold and meticulously hand chased.  The binding and collet of the riding crop are platinum.  Just the right piece for your next equestrian event!

During the late Victorian and Edwardian periods  (1890 to 1915)  horses,  the hunt and the sporting life were all the rage.  Jewelry of this era often expressed equestrian themes.  This fox bar pin dates from around 1900 and was most likely created in England.

Measurements:  Crafted in 15kt gold and platinum this Edwardian pin measures  2.125" in length.  The handle of the crop is just over  0.5"  long.



Examining the rear of the pin you can see that it is sturdily made and that the fox's head was solidly cast.  To the right the pin is stamped  "15CT"  (upside down) which indicates that the jewel was created in Great Britain.
